Sleeping Fox, Inc. was founded In 2003 by Bev Fox and Bruce Carlson.
About Bev Fox - President

Bev has been making jewelry for over 20 years. A goldsmith living in Ft. Myers, Florida, she now enjoys working in the field of metals full time. Bev is in her fourth year of teaching beginners and advanced silversmith students at the Cape Coral Arts Studio. She also teaches workshops in Keum-Boo, Fold Forming, Wire Beads, and Chain Making (loop in loop and Byzantine styles).

Bev has invented a unique jewelry clasp. The patent was issued in October of 2004. She is working on the marketing and production of this new clasp.

Currently, Bev is producing a line of table-top art sculpture called "Stone Based Baskets". The idea came to her while picking up stones on Maine beaches. She was born in Maine, and has been a stone collector all her life. Whether it's finding stones or using them in her work, it gives her a feeling of calm and excitement all at the same time.

Bev makes one of a kind jewelry and employs many different techniques. When making pendants, the chain is designed to be part of the pendant piece, not something from which to hang the piece. Stones inspire creativity in design, and she uses them in all aspects of her work. It's important to Bev that comfort and durability are also built into every piece she designs.

Bev attended the Maine College of Art (formerly Portland School of Art). She has been a member of the Society of North American Goldsmiths for over 15 years and is also a member of the Florida Society of Goldsmiths. She is currently the President of the South West Chapter and Secretary of the State Board.
